The Gambia Teacher Prize

The Gambia Teacher Prize is a groundbreaking initiative led by The Namie Foundation to recognize and celebrate the exceptional contributions of teachers in The Gambia. This prize aims to elevate the status of educators by highlighting their hard work and dedication to shaping the future of the nation’s children. With support from the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education and The Gambia Teachers Union, the Gambia Teacher Prize not only acknowledges outstanding teaching but also inspires a culture of educational excellence across the country.

Through this initiative, we are committed to empowering teachers by offering recognition, financial rewards, and opportunities for professional development. The Gambia Teacher Prize serves as a platform to celebrate those who go above and beyond in their roles, making a lasting impact on their students and communities. By recognizing these educators, we hope to inspire future generations of teachers and ensure that quality education becomes the foundation for progress in The Gambia.
